new halls

The new halls are nearly finished. The 10th Executive Committee has done a super job to keep this McMordie Complex going through 2020 and in previous years.

Thank you each of you. Mike would be most grateful.

The Committee are working to get the Sections back and meeting when it is possible to do so.

Stay safe and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy the hall and facilities in the not too distant future.

A very special award has been made to a very special gentleman. The Silver Wolf, the highest honour of the Scout Association, has been bestowed on Mr John Corry, for services to Scouting ‘of the most exceptional nature’.

Simply known as ‘Akela’ to generations of Cubs at the 10th Belfast, John also rendered distinguished service as Group Scout Leader and as a commissioner in East Belfast district. When life returns to normal, something more sociable will mark the occasion, but in the meantime, here’s a short video of John with a few of those who feel honoured to call him a friend…

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at the Tenth.

Silver Wolf holder and tenth legend Mike Loder (and his military ADC for the weekend) met Bear Grylls the Chief Scout, at Windsor Castle on the occasion of the national Queen’s Scout parade in the presence of The Queen, 29 April 2012. Check out the 10th’s video tribute to Mike and photos of his day at Windsor Castle below.

Following months of behind-the-scenes development, the 10th have a brand new website! The site’s design was inspired by the rich and diverse history of the tenth, stemming back to 1910. The new site is to be informative yet collaborative. It will also be updated regularly with news articles coming through from the boys themselves and upcoming events will be added to the troop calendar.

The website offers information to those wishing to join the troop and for parents whose children may be interested in joining the tenth.

Former members of the tenth may enjoy reading through the history section or may spot themselves in the gallery which includes several video slideshows!

Please send any feedback or questions you may have to
